STUDY UNDERWAY TO INCREASE HEIGHT OF ANJUNEM DAM; CM

Panaji (Goa) Government is contemplating to either increase the height of existing Anjunem dam or to construct a new support dam in the area to meet the demand of sufficient potable water requirement of the people in Sanqulim.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said that the study in this regard is underway.

Parrikar, who was on visit to Sanqulim assembly constituency on Saturday, said that the bridge is fulfilling the long pending demand of the village of road connectivity to their neighbouring villages.

He said that the much awaited Virdi-Amona bridge will be thrown open to the people in December.

“The Bridge is fulfilling the long pending demand of the village of road connectivity to their neighbouring villages,” Parrikar said.

Chief Minister along with Speaker of State Assembly Dr Pramod Sawant visited village Panchayat Amona, Navellim, Surla, Velguem, Palli, Kudnaim and Sankhalim Municipality where he acquainted himself with the problems faced by the people of the respective areas.
