Mapusa (Goa)
The Mapusa Municipal Council has decided to crackdown on the movable handcarts which are illegally operating in the city jurisdiction.
MMC chief officer Clen Madeira has issued a public notice which has given 15 days’ time for the cart owners to produce their licenses, failing which they will be seized by the civic body.
“The owners of the movable handcarts are hereby informed to submit valid trade licenses obtained from this office to carry out the business activities on movable carts,” reads the notice which is published today.
“The movable handcart license holders should submit their valid trade license to this office within 15 days from the date of publishing of this notice, failing which the council shall seize your handcarts without any further intimation,” the notice reads.
