INDIAN TERRAIN’S ‘CHAMPIONS SPORTIVE SERIES’ COMPLETES FIFTH LEG IN PUNE

The Indian Terrain Champions Sportive Series, a 7-city amateur cycling championship by Indian Terrain Fashions Limited and ChooseMyBicycle.com witnessed the completion of the fifth leg of the race in Pune on September 24, 2017.

The Deccan Sportive, the fifth part of the Champions Sportive Series saw a turnout of over 190 participants, who had gathered at the Track and Trail Store on Baner Road. The 71km race started at 6:00 AM while the 50km race started at 6:10 AM. The cyclists halted at Satyam Engineering for their first pit stop following which they stopped at Kamshet for their second pit stop. Subsequently, the cyclists cycled back to the Track and Trail Store on Baner Road, halting at Satyam Engineering again for their final pit stop before completion of the race.

The winners from the Men’s 71km race were Rhishabh Hattarki who completed the race in 1 hour and 46 minutes along with Sudarshan Muralidhar Devardekar (1 hour and 46 minutes, 47 seconds) and Mahesh Iyer (1 hour and 46 minutes, 48 seconds). The winners of the Women’s 71km race were Lakshmi Thangadurai who completed the track in 2 hours and 17 minutes, along with Ayesha Bharucha (2 hours and 18 minutes) and Arpita Gupta (2 hours and 33 minutes).

Indian Terrain’s Champions Sportive Series is a competitive cycling event for amateur cyclists, spread across 7 cities in India. The top three winners (Men and Women) from each city will get a chance to ride at ‘The Champions Sportive Series–Grand Finale’ in Delhi.
