Goa police are on the lookout for a self-styled god-man from Karnataka for raping a 19-year-old girl in Mapusa town, nine kilometres away from here.
The girl hailing from Vasco town has filed a formal complaint against the god-man who is from Kundapur village of Karnataka. The incident happened on October 5 in a house near Mapusa town, the complaint mentions.
As per the complaint filed with the Vasco police station, the girl has named a god-man who sexually abused her in the room at Mapusa where she was taken by two people.
Vasco police said that a team of officers has already left for Karnataka to arrest the accused, who is booked under various sections including rape.
The girl has claimed that the accused Santosh Kumbhar who is originally from Nippani in Maharashtra took her in his four-wheeler under the pretext of dropping her to the native place at Azra (Maharashtra).
She has stated that the accused made her drink a soft drink with stupefying drugs and thereafter took her to an unknown house close to Mapusa, where the accused god-man was present along with another accused Nikhil Chavan.
