SABAJI SHETYE; FACING CORRUPTION CHARGES; REINSTATE INTO SERVICE

Panaji (Goa) Former Additional Collector Sabaji Shetye, suspended under the charges of corruption, is been reinstated into the service by the Government.

Shetye was placed under suspension after he was caught red handed by the Anti Corruption Brach (ACB) in June.

Shetye is now posted as officer on special duty (OSD) in ESI Hospital Margao with immediate effect. He is reinstated following recommendation from the Goa Service Board and with the approval of State government.

Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) had arrested Shetye in a trap laid at his office following a complaint of corruption. He was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 to issue no objection certificate for explosive storage licenses.

Shetye is currently out on bail.
