Goa’s Tanisha Crasto cruised into the Under 15 Girls singles semi-finals at the All India Badminton Ranking Championship being held at Multipurpose Hall, Fatorda, Margao.

Tanisha who won a singles silver medal at the recently concluded Jaipur All India Ranking, carried her good form into the tournament to assure the host state of a guaranteed medal. She registered a comfortable 21-15, 21-13 win over Maharashtra’s 16th seeded Prerana Alvekar. Tanisha along with her partner Lydia Barreto fought hard in their Girls Under 15 doubles quarters match before bowing out to a 17-21, 20-22 loss to Telengana’s 3rd seeded pairing of Bhargavi K and Yadavali Kalavlya. The semis matches will be played on October 15 morning, while the finals will be played in the afternoon session.
