ODISHA NATIVE CAUGHT WITH DRUGS

Calangute (Goa): Calangute police arrested an Odisha native for alleged possession of drugs. Sudarshan Deo, aged 35 years of Janak, Jaijpur in Odisha was caught with Ganja weighing 240 grams which is worth Rs 24,000 in the international market. 

 
Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi said they had received information about the accused moving around with drugs on Calangute beach. It is learnt that he was carrying drugs to sell to prospective customers. 
 
He was searched and police caught him red handed with the banned substancd. Dalvi said the alleged peddler was placed under arrest under section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act. He has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
