Mapusa (Goa) Hours after issuing show cause notices to two senior health officials,  Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today conducted surprise inspection of district hospital at Mapusa.

Rane said that “it was a surprise check and he was really shocked that nutrition that has been supplied to the patient has been stopped by director of health services a year back.”

“We will take a review of this on Monday and also went through all the functional issues of north goa district hospital. There is tremendous shortage of staff in the hospital. Nutrition requirement of the patient has to be upgraded at higher level,” he said.
