Panaji (Goa) Goa will begin the process of recruitments in government services from November month onwards as each of the department has began tallying the manpower data required by them, a senior minister said today.
State Health minister Vishwajit Rane today addressed a press conference to rubbish media reports which had claimed that the State government has put ban on the new recruitments.
“During last one and half month each of the department is making presentation listing out their manpower requirement and the quantum of posts that has been lapsed before the chief minister,” Rane told reporters today.
He said that the State government is committed for the youth and will commit for the creation of jobs for the youth.
“The state government will initiate recruitment process from November end onwards up to January end, the advertisements for which would be released through newspapers,” he said.
The minister said that approximately 5,000-5,500 government jobs would be advertised by the government in the different departments, which will be filled in the phases.
“BJP led government is committed to give employment, direct recruitment of youth in government sector following all due procedures of law. Youth have been looking up to the government with big hope,” he commented.
“In my own department, 250-300 posts were advertised before the by-election in Valpoi and Panaji which would be filled now. In my own department there are 1,500 vacancies which has to be filled up to provide efficient services to the people of the State,” said Rane who is holding Health, Women and Child Development and Food and Drugs administration portfolios in Manohar Parrikar led government.
