Panaji (Goa): The Goa Mahila Congress today submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding to pass Women’s Reservation Bill in the Parliament.

The memorandum is submitted to Prime Minister through North Goa collector Nila Mohanan, seeking 33 percent reservation for women in the Assembly/ Parliament.

The Mahila Congress North Goa President Vaishali Shetgaonkar in her representation demanded that the Bill be introduced in the Winter Session of Parliament and be fully implemented before the next general elections.

Last week, 41 Mahila Congress functionaries submitted 32 lakh signatures to President Ram Nath Kovind to seek his support for the Women’s Reservation Bill and urged him to expedite the process to pass the Bill.

As part of the similar campaign, the memorandum was submitted to the Collector.
