COMMITTEE UNDER HEALTH MINISTER TO ENSURE TIMELY COMPLETION OF SOUTH GOA DISTRICT HOSPITAL

Panaji (Goa): In a bid to achieve its deadline of May 31, 2018, for completion of the South Goa district hospital project, the State Government has constituted a three-member committee to expedite, monitor and ensure timely completion of the same.

The committee consists of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, TCP Minister Vijay Sardessai and Managing Director of Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) Srinet Kothwale.

The committee has to meet regularly and monitor the progress of work of construction of the new district hospital.

 The Committee will also guide and make suggestions to the GSIDC in the matter relating to construction, as also, will guide the authorities on the issue relating to the functioning of the hospital so as to make it fully operational in a time-bound manner.

The proposed building will consist of three-floor district hospital, nursing college, mortuary building and utility building.
