Goa: Shiv Sena Vice President & Spokesperson Jitesh Kamat and Rakhi Naik congratulated Silver Medal Winner Santosh Harijan by presenting him a bouquet. Mr Harijan was a runner-up and won a silver medal at Elite National Boxing Championship at Vishakapatnam.  The 29-year-old Goan boxing star gave a very good fight to his famed opponent, a fellow International Madan Lal, who edged the bout 3-2. Santosh lives at Dangui Colony, Mapusa and will soon represent India for International Boxing.
Kamat has expressed disappointment from Goa Government for not providing financial support & proper facilities to such a talented sportsman and appreciated Santosh for his success achieved by overcoming all the difficulties and financial restraints being from a poor background. Kamat has also praised him for being a fighter in the boxing Ring and outside the ring too. Talented sportsman like Santosh would have even gone ahead and would have flourished name of Goa in the field of sports internationally, if Government facilitates them, stated Mr. Kamat through Press Note.
