Aap files complaint against CEE & others with ACB for keeping public in darkness

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said that the move of the electricity department of keeping the public in the dark for almost 24 hours was a suitable case to be tried under the prevention of corruption act and IPC and filed a complaint before the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) and demanded registration of FIR against the Chief Electrical Engineer (CEE) and other officials under the said Act.
In a statement, AAP general secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar claimed that news was doing rounds that kickbacks to the tune of four crores were paid to various officials in the department. He said that it was now the duty of the police to investigate the matter to get to the root of the issue and take strong action.
Padgaonkar claimed that another complaint would also be filed with the Old Goa Police station for registration of FIR against the officials for causing annoyance to the public, compromising on public safety, loss of public property under the IPC.
