India’s Ashutosh Pednekar has created history by clinching Gold medal in the Veterans (plus 45) category at the Racketlon World Championships 2018 being held at Zurich, Germany. Ashutosh has previously won many International medals in the sport including Gold medals at championships in Denmark, Belgium and Thailand.
Ashutosh is a former Goa State champion in Badminton and a naval officer currently posted in Mumbai. At the Indian Masters (Veterans) Nationals which were held earlier this year in Vizag, Ashutosh won Bronze in Mens 45+ category and qualified for the World Masters. He is today one of the Country’s top players in Racketlon, a sport which is a combination of four racket games namely table tennis, badminton, squash and lawn tennis.

“Ashutosh is an alumni of Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi and a former Badminton State champion. He along with his sister Leena Pednekar were both outstanding badminton players and dominated Goa’s badminton scene in the 90s. Extremely delighted to see one of our champion players make waves globally in this sport.
