Panaji (GOA): Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly Michael Lobo questioned police silence on right wing leader Sadhavi Saraswati remark on the beef eaters in Goa.

“I don’t understand why Goa police are silent in the matter. They should have taken the cognizance and filed case against Sadhvi Saraswati. Her statement on beef directly trying to create communal divide in the State,” he said.

“Why are police silent on this matter? Why no cognizance taken? Police are otherwise quick to take cognizance of social media post and book people,” he commented.

Sadhavi while participating in All India Hindu convention in Goa last month had demanded that those eating beef should be hanged.
