Power Minister Pandurang Madkaikar has stated that power department has been facing hardships due to cyclonic winds and rain these days.

Madkaikar said that department has been carrying out maintenance and other electrical works using ₹ 400 crore provided by the Centre. He further disclosed that the Centre is going to provide assistance of ₹ 1700 Cr which will be used for installation of new transformers, poles wiring and other allied works.
