COLLECTOR BANS ENTRY OF PRAMOD MUTALIK IN SOUTH GOA

Panaji (Goa) South Goa district administration has extended ban on entry of Sri Ram Sena chief Pramod Mutalik to the district for a period of 60 days.

South Goa collector IAS Anjali Sehrawat, under Section 144 of Cr. P. C has prohibited the entry of Pramod Mutalik, s leader of “Sri Ram Sene” and any of his associates or members within the jurisdiction of South Goa for a period of 60 days with effect from 16th November.

“It has been reported by the Superintendent of Police, South that fear of disturbance of the communal peace and harmony in the State of Goa is not ruled out in case of entry of Pramod Mutalik, and his member associates in the District,” Sehrawat said in her order.

“ It is apprehended that his communal speeches will promote enmity among various religious communities and will be prejudicial to maintain harmony and public peace and safety,” she added.

She said that there are sufficient ground to ban entry of Mutalik under section 144 of CrPC.
