After heavy rains last night, the Colva beach was covered with  filthy debris and waste, giving out foul smell. People from the area suspect it to be sewage from hotels and shacks, which got washed on the beach, with rain showers on Friday night.

A few residents present on the location said that this is not an incident to be taken lightly as it can prove to be health hazard and harm people as well as it can be toxic for the marine life. 

People said that the government as well as the Panchayat should investigate to find out from where this waste came on the beach and take necessary action
