Panaji (Goa) Congress MLA Alexio Reginaldo Lourenco today accused its own party of keeping its legislators and members in dark on the Government move to lead an all party delegation to Central government seeking its intervention in resolving the mining crisis.

The MLA also said that move is nothing but a ‘farce”.

“The all-party delegation, which will be going to Delhi on Monday to seek Central government intervention in the matter, is nothing but a farce. It is a move against the State interest,” Lourenco told reporters.

The Congress MLA has slammed Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar, who is part of the delegation, for failing to take the Legislators and Pradesh congress committee (PCC) members into confidence.

“Neither CLP nor PCC is aware what is this all party-delegation. Whatever we have learnt is through media. Leader of Opposition has not discussed anything with us,” he said.

“We are kept in dark as in what is going to be the exact demand of the State,” he added.

Kavlekar and Senior MLA Pratapsingh Rane are the part of all-party delegation which will be meeting Union Ministers on Monday.
