Panaji (GOA): The counting for the June 11 panchayat elections will be held at 13 places in eleven taluka’s on June 13.
Total 186 village panchayats will be going for polls on June 11. OF the total 1522 wards, 55 panch have already been elected unopposed, while the elections for 15 disputed wards is scheduled on July 1.
The State Election Commission (SEC) has announced the schedule of counting.
The counting for 18 VPs in Pernem taluka will be held at two places-St. Joseph High School and Gram Panchayat Hall, Tuvem. For Bicholim taluka with 16 VPs, the counting will take place in two phases at Narayan Zantye Multipurpose Sports Complex Hall. Similarly, for Sattari with 12 VPs the counting will take place at Auditorium Hall, Forest Training School at Valpoi.
For panchayats falling in Bardez taluka, the counting will take place in three phases and two different auditoriums of Government Sports Compelx- Peddem. There are total 31 VPs in the taluka.
The counting of 18VPs from Tiswadi taluka will be held at Sports Authority of Goa- Campal.
For Ponda taluka with 20 VPs, the counting will take place in three phases at Government Sports Complex-Curti. The counting for Dharbandora talukas five VPs will take place at Government Primary School-Tamsodo and for Sanguem taluka with seven VPs the counting will take be held at Government Sports Complex-Khairikatem.
The biggest taluka Salcette having the maximum number of panchayats-33- the counting will take place in three phases at the ground floor of the South Goa district collectorate building.
For Mormugao taluka with six VPs the counting will be at Government Sports Complex-Bhutia Bhat.
The Qupeme taluka consisting of 11 VPs the counting is scheduled at Sports Complex- Borimol and for Canacona taluka with seven VPs the counting will take place at Mamlatdar office.
