Cuncolim residents on Saturday staged ‘rasta roko’ agitation, protesting against frequent power cuts in the area. The residents withdrew the agitation only when Govt put forward work tender of Rs. 7 crore.

Local MLA Cleofasio Dias has warned of a severe agitation in the future if the tender is not implemented within 3 months. He said the power supplied to industries should be stopped.
