Union Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today launched Indian Coast Guard’s offshore patrol vessel Yard 1233 at Goa Shipyard, Vasco.

The ship built for Indian Coast Guard is one of the five offshore patrol vessels which is being constructed by Goa Shipyard Limited at Vasco.

The overall length of this ship is said to be 105 meters and displacement is 2,350 tonnes at full load with the endurance of 6,00 nautical miles. A team of 14 officers will be commanding the Ship with a total crew of 133 personnel.

The ship is capable of undertaking any mission in any kind of weather condition.
