Former Goa chief minister and current Congress MLA Pratapsinh Rane was admitted to GMC after he complained of fever.
Rane, 79, was last night admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) after he suffered from mild fever, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar told reporters. “Rane is admitted in the hospital’s medicine ward. He is likely to be discharged later today or tomorrow,” he said.
A senior doctor of GMCH said Rane came to the hospital yesterday following which some tests were conducted on him. “Rane was advised to remain admitted as his condition required to be monitored,” the doctor added.
Rane is the five-time Congress legislator from Poriem constituency in North Goa.
