Gunwanti Paraste (Pune): Hinjewadi-Pune police have arrested Kerala origin man for  stalking and creating fake Instagram account of a 24-year-old girl and also for abusing her younger sister on a popular social networking site.

Marwen John Puneli who hails from Kerala is  sent to four days police custody by a court in Pune after his arrest by the police.

Hinjewadi police stated that the accused created a fake Instagram account of the complainant and sent ‘follow’ request to her sister and friends.

The accused also coaxed the complainant to send her photos to him and he was ready to pay for it to the complainant. The entire incident took place between April 15 to June 8 this year.

The complainant told police that the accused has also sent obscene mails to her on her email id. The complainant hails from Hyederabad and currently stays in Bavdhan.

The accused hails from kerala and currently stays in Gokhalenagar area. Puneli also  sent abusive messages to the complainant’s sister on a social networking site.

Hinjewadi police are investigating the reasons behind accused behaviour. Police officials said that the accused has used various social media sites to harass the complainant and her sister. Police inspector R Unde is investigating the case further.
