Panaji (Goa) While the State continue to fall short of Goods and Service Tax (GST) collection compared to that of Value Added Tax (VAT), the Union Government, as promised, has compensated Goa government with Rs 68 crores towards the revenue loss reported for the month of July and August.
From July till October, the State GST collection has been Rs 737 crores, which include Rs 234 crore in August, Rs 250 crore in September and Rs 253 crores in October.
“Goa has received Rs 68 crores as compensation towards revenue loss for the month of July and August,” sources confirmed.
