SHIRODA
Ex-BJP minister and former Shiroda MLA Mahadev Naik, on Friday, disclosed that he has decided to join the Congress.
Naik served as a minister in Laxmikant Parsekar’s cabinet and contested in 2017 Assembly polls in which he lost to Subhash Shirodkar of Congress who later joined ruling BJP in October 2018.
Shirodkar is now expected to be the BJP’s candidate for the Shiroda by-polls.
Naik has shown full confidence in Congress’ victory in Shiroda constituency and has claimed that all his supporters will work to defeat Subhash.
