Panaji (Goa) Former Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has urged the citizens to contribute generously towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.

On the occasion of Armed Forces Week, Parrikar, Goa Chief Minister took on social media to commemorate the armed forces.

“The valour of our soliders and the sacrifices of their families are the pillars of our nation’s safety and security,” Parrikar tweeted.

“On this #ArmedForcesWeek, I urge you all to contribute generously towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. Jai Hind!,” he posted.

The Armed Force week will be celebrated from December 1-7.
