DHARGAL
Foundation stone has been laid for All India Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy Institute at Dhargal by Ayush Minister Shripad Naik. The estimated cost of the hospital is Rs. 301 Cr and will acquire land measuring 2 lakh sqmtr at Pernem.
The hospital is aimed with over 200 beds and the institute will be beneficial to over 500 students. This is the second such hospital in India.
Speaking on the occasion Union Minister Shripad Naik said that Goa being strategically located on the Western Ghats will help the institute in research of different herbs and medicinal plants available in the area.
Tourism minister Manohar Ajgaonkar, health minister Vishwajit Rane and state BJP chief Vinay Tendulkar were also present on the occasion.
