A fresh petition has been filed by Adv. Rajeev Gomes before judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) Margao which directs the Fatorda police to register an FIR against those who are involved in importing formalin-laced fish in the state.

In his petition, Gomes has said that Iva Fernandes, who is an FDA officer from South Goa had submitted her report to the FDA saying that the fish samples examined during the investigation showed the presence of formalin.
