PUNE- Goel Ganga Foundation celebrated Children’s Day with the kids of construction labourers working at their site ‘Ganga Legend’ at Bavdhan. More than 70 kids participated in a fun frolic wherein they were shown the film ‘The Jungle Book’.
Present on the occasion were Jaiprakash Goel, Atul Goel Trustees of Goel Ganga Foundation.
Apart from it, kids enjoyed the session of story-telling, puppet show, magic show, dance etc. A professional dancer taught dance steps to these kids which they picked up fast and performed without any inhibitions. It was a special occasion where children of every kid were celebrated. The students of GGIS shared the importance of education and how it can elevate one’s life. During an interaction, few kids expressed their desire to become teacher, Police etc.
“When every day is a struggle and hard work, the children of construction labourers rarely gets any chance to live their childhood like normal children around. When parents are away at work, the kids are all alone to look after themselves. No proper schooling, no proper grooming make these kids vulnerable. Through such initiatives we would like to add happiness in their lives, said Jaiprakash Goel, Trustee, Goel Ganga Foundation.
