The Goa Mining People’s Front chief Puti Gaonkar has said that the GMPF has postponed their ‘Rasta Roko’ temporarily and will decide on the agitation after GMPF meeting on January 30.

“We have postponed our agitation due to the assurance given by BJP chief Amit Shah after he met Goa BJP MPs,” Gaonkar said.

Gaonkar further said that if there is no satisfactory outcome then the GMPF will actively campaign against the government in the upcoming by-polls in Mandrem and Shiroda constituencies.
