Goa: The three-day Youth for Tomorrow 2017 grand fest in Goa came to an end today, with over 300 students from 27 schools showcasing their talent in public speaking, music and singing. The festival is held in Goa annually since 2015 by Adventz Group, a multi-business diversified conglomerate led by Chairman Saroj Kumar Poddar. Adventz is represented by its flagship company, Zuari Agro Chemicals Limited, in the state.

With the central theme of ‘Adventz celebrates Agri-Innovation’, the festival also saw Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar launching the farmer knowledge and engagement Jai Kisaan mobile app on the side-lines, as schoolchildren from private, government and government-aided schools put their best talents on show. Additional to the students’ activities, the edition of Youth for Tomorrow included talks by Dr Parasuraman of M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation and Ajay Naik, a well-known Goa-based hydroponic farmer.

The honour guests at the gala event included Goa Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude and state Director of Education Gajanan P. Bhat. As the curtains came down on this year’s Youth for Tomorrow, well-known Indian music composer, lyricist and playback singer Vaishali Samant enthralled the audience with her performance.

The competitions had semi-finals and final rounds, while schools conducted their own selection procedure students to represent them individually.
