Panaji (Goa) Goa Suraksha Manch leader Subhash Velingkar has said that the party candidate Anand Shirodkar will win the Panaji by-election defeating Manohar Parrikar.
This is what Velingkar told mediapersons after he casted his vote:
During last election, people in Panaji voted for BJP with a perception that if they vote GSM then Babush Monserratte might win. That is why Siddharth got the votes. But this time the situation is different. The people have decided to vote for Anand Shirodkar. Though with a less margin, Shirodkar will defeat Manohar Parrikar.
There are several issues which are going against Parrikar this time. He has been MLA of this constituency for last 23 years but he did nothing. He has been indulged in U turns over issues like MOI, Casino..The arrogance of BJP is another factor which will go against Parrikar.
