Panaji (Goa) Health Minister Vishwajit Rane is on the spree of giving unexpected surprises to the people. After charging the people from outstation, the health minister has now decided to make parking outside the state run hospitals as ‘pay parkings.’
Rane told The Neutral view that the parking spaces at Goa medical college and hospital, Ponda’s ID hospital, Mapusa’s Azilo hospital and Community health centre at Sankhalim would be converted into parking lots.
This might not go with the relatives of the patients who have to keep their vehicles in the parking lot as they nurse the patient.
Rane said that he would be charging fee of Rs 10 per four hours for parking of the vehicle.
When asked about the sudden decision to impose pay parking, the minister said several office going people have been using these lots to park their vehicles which lie during the entire day. The move is to discourage them.
