MARGAO (GOA): South Goa continues to face desecration of Holy Crosses. Last night unknown miscreants desecrated a Holy Cross at Calconda in Margao.

Margao police inspector C L Patil said, the miscreants took advantage of the heavy rains that were witnessed by South Goa last night.

Patil said that the police maintained patrolling near the spot, but miscreants reportedly hit when lights went off.

Goa has been witnessing spate of desecrations of Holy Crosses.  Two crosses were vandalised at Loutolim village yesterday.

Senior police officials had claimed that they have increased security around the religious places. Police are yet to achieve any breakthrough in connection with these cases.
