Goa’s Anura Prabhu Desai, clinched Gold in women’s singles at All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2018 at Dehradun, Uttar Pradesh.

Anura was seeded 1st in the tournament and is also currently ranked No. 1 in India.

 Anura beat World no. 69 Rituparna Das 21-16, 15-21, 24-22 to reach the semi-finals. In the semis, she powered her way past Shruti Mundada, winning 24-22, 21-17. In the finals, Anura was in cruise control throughout as she eased past Kanika Kanwal 21-10, 21-17 to emerge victorious.
