“He was questioned for almost one and half hour. Several questions were asked to him. Basically we are trying to know his links with the matka gambling business,” a senior Crime Branch official said, after Kavlekar’s questioning.
The Congress leader who was summoned at crime branch at 11 a.m. arrived with the interim anticipatory bail order from District and Sessions Court in Margao. The orders restricted him from being arrested by the Crime Branch.
“I am clean. I am completely cooperating with the police. I have nothing to hide,” Kavlekar said before rushing into his vehicle emerging from the questioning by the police.
He said that he has full faith in judiciary.
