Panaji (Goa) Bharatiya Janata Party has maintained silence over the issues of unhappiness expressed by its legislator Michael Lobo over bifurcation of Planning and Development Authorities and dissident amongst the coalition partners over distribution of power.
Lobo was unhappy after the State government contemplated the possibility of bifurcating North Goa Planning and Development Authority which he is heading.
In yet another development, MGP which is a coalition partner of BJP led government had expressed dissatisfaction over preference given to Goa Forward Party in distribution of the power.
“We know MGP office bearers are making statements over the distribution of power. But we are not commenting on the issue,” BJP goa chief Vinay Tendulkar told reporters after attending the party meeting in Panaji.
About Lobo’s statement, he said the legislator has not expressed his unhappiness. “There are statements being made over several issues through media. But I feel that the aggrieved persons should talk to chief minister. The issues don’t get solved if you address them in media,” he said, without naming anyone.
Tendulkar said that the state has witnessed increased urbanization due to which the need of Planning and Development Authorities has been felt. “It is for the government to decide,” he added.
