Calangute (Goa) Calangute police have successfully conducted  a narcotic raid and seized narcotics drugs from the possession of accused Nigerian National person on 01/02/2018.

PI Jivba Dalvi informed that upon receiving information about one Nigerian person coming to deliver narcotic drugs a team was formed and directed to conduct a raid . Accordingly police laid a trap Nr. Tito’s lane Baga-Calangute and waited for the suspected person. Further ipon noticing the accused person police immediately apprehended him. The personal search was conducted and Ganja worth Rs. 27,000/-, Cocaine worth Rs. 63,000/- and MDMA worth Rs. 45,000/- was seized from the accused person. The accused person was identified as Philip S/o Ezekeil Godwin, age-35 yrs R/o Nigeria. PI Jivba Dalvi informed that an offence under sections 20(b)(ii)(A), 21(b) and 22(b) of NDPS Act has been registered as out of the three drugs seized cocaine and MDMA comes under the definition of synthetic drugs. The raid went on from midnight to early morning till 04:00 hrs. The accused had come to deliver the drugs to a prospective customers at Baga. The raid was conducted by PI Jivba Dalvi and the team consisted of PSI Kirtidas Gaude,  police constables Dinesh Morajkar, Govind Shirodkar and Vallabh Pednekar and other staff.

Further investigation is in progress with psi kirtidas Gawde under supervision of Police Inspector  Jivba Dalvi , SDPO shri Kiran Padwal, SP north Smt Chandan Chawdary.
