Calangute (Goa)  In a prostitution raid conducted on 21/11/2017 Calangute police have arrested two persons and rescued one victim girl from renowned three star hotel in Calangute -Goa.
    PI Jivba Dalvi informed that reliable information was received from sources that some girls were being supplied to prospective customers for prostitution purpose at a hotel in Calangute area. Accordingly intelligence was gathered from sources and the hotel was identified to be a renowned three star Hotel located in Umtavado, Calangute. Further a team was formed led by PI Jivba Dalvi himself including PSI Vidyesh Pilgaokar, Sitaram Malik, LPSI Karishma Parulekar , head constable Subhash Malvankar, constables Vidyanand Amonkar, said sawant, vijay Morajkar  and ngo member Elaine remanded of scan India.
    Later in the night at around 09:00 pm police camped at the hotel in civil clothes. Further information was received that the pimp would be coming to collect the victim girl. Accordingly at  9:10 pm one person came on a scooter at the hotel. Based on the description the raiding team immediately apprehended and questioned the person. Accordingly the disclosed that he had come to pick the victim girl which he had supplied in one of the room to a customer. Further he led the raiding team into the room inside the hotel.
   Upom checking the hotel room police successfully rescued one victim girl and arrested the customer namely Mr. chandan Kumar day, age -37 yrs R/o MG Road, goregaon, Mumbai found in the room along with the girl. Further the customer disclosed that he had procured the girl ona scooter from Calangute market. Immediately the customer was further questioned to which he disclosed he had brought the girl for Rs. 12,000/-. The pimp placed under arrested was identified as Mr. rehan abdul qureshi, age 33 yrs R/o Chobare, Palghar, Mumbai. Currently both the customer and the pimp are in police custody.
   During the raid conducted police have seized 04 mobile phones from the possession of the pimp and the customer  and cash of Rs. 55,000/-. Both the scooters used by the pimp and the customer to deliver and procured the girl bearing numbers GA03K4812 and GA03N9036 respectively have been attached during the raid. After completion of the raid police have sealed the hotel and attached the check in register and various documents submitted by the accused person while checking in. The hotel management had also failed to take proper identity proofs of the customer and victim girl and as such a report will be submitted by the police against the lapses.
The rescued victim girl was lodged in Protective Home, Merces after obtaining order from the sub divisional magistrate. The girl had been procured through online communication on the internet.
   An offence under section 3,4,5 and 7 of Immoral Traffiking(Prevention) Act, 1956  and section 370 of Indian Penal Vide had been registered. PI Jivba Dalvi is further investigating the case.
