Calangute (Goa) A Delhi-based young girl was rescued and three kingpins arrested in a prostitution racket busted by Calangute police at Baga this evening.

“We had reliable information that some pimps are operating from Calangute. Accordingly presence of NGO members was secured and a team was formed. We laid a trap while the deal was materialising in a Ritz Car bearing registration number GA 03 P 9541,” said Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi.

In the raid the team arrested three persons Sunil Kumar Sahu from Dharavi, Mumbai; and Veeru and Santosh Kumar Singh both natives of Janakpuri in Delhi. The victim girl native of Delhi was successfully rescued during the raid.

‘During the raid, we also attached cash of Rs 54,000 and the Ritz car that was used for delivering the victim girl,” he added. The victim was thereafter prduduced before the Deputy Collector and further lodged in Protective Home Merces for safe custody and protection.
