Panaji (Goa): State Cabinet today approved construction of 50,000 sitting capacity International Cricket stadium at Dhargal in Pernem Taluka.

Cabinet granted is approval for transfer of land admeasuring 1.89 lakh sq mtrs to Goa Cricket Association (GCA) for construction of the stadium.

 “The project will be constructed by GCA and it will be funded by BCCI. GCA has assured to construct the stadium within three years from the commencement of work,” Sports Minister Manohar Azgaonkar said.

 State cabinet has granted ten years time period to GCA for completion of the project.
