GOA: DOCTORS STAGE TOKEN HUNGER STRIKE OUTSIDE RAJ BHAVAN

Dona Paula (Goa) The medical practitioners under the banner of Indian Medical Association’s Goa branch staged token hunger strike outside Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti today.
Several doctors led by IMA Goa unit chief Dr Medha Salkar resorted to token hunger strike protesting  violence against the doctors.
They also demanded implementation of clinical establishment act and highlighted several other issues faced by doctors in the state similar to that of their colleagues across country. The hunger strike was held as per the directives of IMA headquarters in Delhi.
All states in india and their respective office bearers will also sit on hunger strike in front of their respective governor’s bungalow and hand over representation to their governors.
