GOA: ELEVENTH STANDARD STUDENT STABS CLASSMATE IN PONDA OVER PETTY MATTER

Farmagudi (Goa) An eleventh standard student was stabbed twice by his classmate outside the college premises at PES college this afternoon.

Police have detained the boy who stabbed his colleague while victim is undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunita Sawant said that the fight over burning of fire crackers during Ganesh Chaturthi led to the brutal attack.

“We are still investigating the case. The minor who stabbed his classmate has surrendered before the police,” she said.

She said that the boy who was missing after the incident came to ponda police station accompanied by his parents.

She said that the victim was stabbed twice at the main entrance of the college. “The boy who was initially taken to the local hospital was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital,” Sawant said.
