Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is playing a role of former Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackrey in the upcoming bilingual movie today said that it is difficult to learn the ease and speed of the speeches delivered by the former Maharashtra leader.
The actor who originally hails from the Western Uttar Pradesh said that he is learning to speak Marathi as the movie is shot in that language along with Hindi.
“I have not done so much of efforts for any character in any film,” said Siddiqui during ongoing ‘Goa Fest 2018’ on its last day on Saturday.
Stating that the movie has gone on floor few days back, the actor said that he came to attend the function directly from the shooting of the movie in Mumbai.
“One of the important aspect of Balasaheb’s character was the ease and speed of his public speeches. It is important for me to catch the ease and speed of his speeches,” said the “Gangs of Wasseypur” star.
Siddiqui said that there were several levels of emotions that he had to cross to reach to the level, where he can play role of the former Shiv Sena Supremo.
The actor said that till a month back, he was not able to speak Marathi but has started tuitions in that language.
He said that the shooting of the movie will wrap up in June, this year.
The movie, which is surrounding the life of the leader from Maharashtra, is produced by Sena Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut.
