GOA: FINAL OPPORTUNITY TO GET YOURSELF ENROLLED AS VOTER
PANAJI (GOA) Only last two days are left for those who missed out to get themselves enrolled as voters; as the special summary revision to update the electoral roll will conclude on Tuesday.
Following directions from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Chief Electoral Office (CEO) had launched special summary revision to update the photo identification of the electors from September 18 to October 10.
So, final 48 hours are left for the people to submit their claims and objections for addition and deletion of their names, and also to undertake any other necessary corrections.
People can also make use of web-based facility ERONET to enroll themselves as the voters and even to make any changes like deletion or correction in name or address.
The special summary revision of photo electoral rolls is in the process with reference to January 1, 2018 as qualifying date.
January 8, 2018 will be the final publication date of the updated database.
As per the electoral roll published in January this year, total 11.10 lakh voters were eligible to vote in the state.
The finally draft has to be published much before National Voters’ Day, that is January 25, 2018, so that EPICs generated for new electors especially young voters ( 18-19 years) can be distributed on that day.
