Panaji (Goa) Goa Forward Party today reacted to the statements by AAP on their leader Vijai Sardesai. This is what party spokesman Trajano D’Mello said in a press conference today:
The Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) which has been totally rejected by the Goemkars has suddenly found a way to make their political presence felt by making wild charges.
– The Goemkars saw the plan of the AAP in last assembly election & every Goemkars believed & saw that AAP main game plan was to divide non BJP votes. This was perception of every Goemkars & their intelligent Goemkar voters seeing into it gave them such a drubbing that except 1 out of 39 all lost their deposit.
– In fact before the last assembly election there was enough evidence before the people of Goa. That they were hoisted by the BJP and if not for the presence of Goa Forward they might have captured about 20% of the votes giving the BJP a clear mandate of 21 or more seats.
– The AAP has exposed its nervousness towards our leader Vijai Sardesai by making a charge that Vijai had made a pre polled arrangement with the BJP.
– By saying so they are only seeing themselves what they were in a secret alliance with the BJP.
– The whole of Goa knew the compulsions the Goa Forward and its Leader Vijai to stitch the alliance with the BJP. In fact it did surprise many of the die-hard supporters of the Goa Forward at that point of time but today it is open to the public that the interest of Goem Goemkar and Goemkarponn are safeguarded and various development work are being planned to be implemented.
– AAP has betrayed the Goan voter. Where are their candidates among the people? They have deserted the voters. Since they speak about Vijai, where is the candidate they put up in Fatorda Ranjit Cotta Carvalho who never even belonged the constituency and not to be seen among the voters.
– AAP has to answer people of Goa whether this candidates put up by them are trying back door tactics of getting favors from the present Government or are they back to their Hotel business or are they back to construction activities. These topiwalas have actually put topis to the voters.
– AAP does not see Goa Centric problem but points out to Delhi Centric governance. This itself shows that they have no Goa centric plan. They are so nervous of Vijai and Goa Forward’s Goa Centric plans which is safeguarding interest of Goem Goemkar and Goemkarponn.
– The most scientific garbage treatment plant that exist in India & Chief Minister has assured that same will be replicated in Verna and Curchorem and a Corporation has been formed.
– The tripartite agreement involving Inland waterways Authorities of India, Captain of ports and MPT was a result of Vijai Sardesai convincing the chief Minister that this had to be done to protect Goem Goemkar and Goemkarponn.
