Panaji (Goa) Goa Forward Party has decided to help State police crack down the drug menace in the constituencies represented by them – Siolim and Saligao. This is what party spokesman Trajano D’Mello told reporters on Thursday.

] The recent deaths of two boys have been of serious concern to the Goa Forward Party. On the news of this terrible crime flashing our President Shri Vijai Sardesai immediately spoke to the Chief Minister who assured Vijai that he will spare no effort to crack down on the drug traffickers. The Chief Minister also summoned an emergency meeting of top police officers directing them to crack down on the crime.

] Shri Vijai Sardesai has vowed to strive to get to the very root of this problem and wipe this menace out from the face of Goa. To begin with the Party will organize youth squads in both Siolim and Saligao under the supervision of our Party President Shri Vijai Sardesai to help the government and the police to get rid of this menace.

] Goa Forward Party under the leadership of Shri Vijai Sardesai will not let anyone destroy the spirit of Goemkarponn by flooding our State and damaging our youth with drugs.

] The owners of establishments that allow drugs to be sold or consumed in their premises will be severely dealt with. We request our youth to come forward and help us with information to put an end to this destructive crime. We also appeal to the parents whose children may be trapped in consuming drugs not to be ashamed but to confide in us which will enable us not only to find out the source of the drugs but also if required to help rehabilitate the child from this evil.
