Panaji (Goa) BJP’s alliance partner Goa Forward Party has decided to spread its work in the constituencies which are yet to be covered by them. Party Spokesman Trajano D’Mello has said that Party President Vijai Sardesai has directed his ministers and office bearers to tour other constituencies.

“We would also like to inform you that now the party President Shri Vijai Sardesai has made it clear that he would be directing office bearers and his ministers to start visiting and spreading the party’s ideology in other constituencies, without disturbing the constituencies whose representatives are part of the coalition government,” D’Mello told a press conference.

“ Our President Shri Vijai Sardesai has been very active in taking up various issues that affect Goem, Goemkar and Goemkarponn. The recent cases are GST affecting Tiatr and natak and also the farmers affected with high rise tides in Canacona,” he said.

He said  grassroot leaders like Panchayat members, ZP members, Councilors and other leaders have met our President and have expressed their desire to join our party.

To begin with one Panchayat is likely to join us tomorrow, the time and place will be informed to you all.

ON THE ISSUE OF ST FRANCIS XAVIER FEAST

Some elements are trying to create confusion about the holiday for the feast of St. Francis Xavier due to advent which will be celebrated on 4th instead of 3rd .

Aires has sent me a post questioning as to why the Government of which we are a part has not declared 4th December as a public holiday. There are certain media reports suggesting that the government should consider 4th as public holiday

The Goa Forward Party is fully aware of the sentiments of all communities not only in Goa but in the rest part of India and also abroad who makes efforts to come down to Goa to revere this Great Saint who is popularly known as ‘Goemcho Saib’.

I would like to remind Aires that we are wide awake and would like to inform him that 4th Dec has been already marked as a public holiday.
