The Goa Shiv Sena delegation visited the site of Kalsa nullah diversion project on Sunday, January 14 at Kankumbi village of Belgavi district of Karnataka. The delegation comprised of Shivprasad Joshi, Jitesh Kamat, Kishor Rao and other Shiv Sena members.

The delegation inspected the origin of Malaprabha River near Mauli temple on the road heading from Kankumbi towards the interior of Chinguli village. The team also noticed that Karnataka Government has resumed work of the Kalsa nullah and is progressing fast towards completion blocking tributary’s flow towards Goa.

“Some water can be seen flowing through the nullah,” stated Shiv Sena vice president Jitesh Kamat. Chief minister Manohar Parrikar’s letter to Karnataka may have prompted the latter to resume work on the Kalsa nullah diversion project could not be denied says, Kamat and has further blamed the CM for restarting the quarrel with Karnataka.

Shiv Sena has also opposed the unlawful move of Karnataka Government when the case is pending at the tribunal and final hearing is scheduled in the month of February.
